When a web link or email
address is entered into a MS Office file such as a Word document, an
Excel spreadsheet or a PowerPoint presentation, MS Office automatically
changes the entry into a hyperlink. Refer to the sample below on the
right.
This feature can be
permanently disabled.

Select
Tools,
AutoCorrect Options.

Click the
AutoFormat As You Type tab.
|

In the
Replace As You Type section,
remove the checkmark from the Internet
and network paths with hyperlinks.

Click
OK. |

| If it is not
required to permanently disable this feature, click the
UNDO icon
(or Ctrl + Z) immediately after a web link or email address insertion
and the AutoFormat will disappear as shown in the sample below
on the left.
OR,
right-mouse click on
the hyperlink and select Remove
Hyperlink. |
